Born in Brecon, Brecknockshire, Galles, was the daughter of two traveling actors (his father was Roger Kamble). Debuted on stage still an early age, he developed an extraordinary scenic talent, according to witnesses. It was a little more than a teenager when he met the actor William Siddons, by which fell in a short time and that, contrary to the parents' wishes, was to be married. In 1773, after working as a maid for a while, officially began working as [[actress. The following year she played Belvidera Preserv'd in Venice by Thomas Otway. After a disastrous staging of The Merchant of Venice, Shakespeare, in 1782 the actress is facing a huge success with her performance as Isabella in the play The Fatal Marriage, Thomas Southerne. In 1812, Siddons abandoned the race after having presented the audience with a splendid performance as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Shakespeare. Sarah Siddons died a month before his seventy-sixth birthday. In 1952 in Chicago, Illinois (USA), was founded on "Sarah Siddons Society," a non-profit theater, which each year presents the best actor, the "Sarah Siddons Award".
