Anilos Review 8.80

As a logged in, registered member of Anilos; you have 9 main elements accessible via the navigation bar at the top of the site. These are videos, photos, models, tags, feed, deals, upcoming, hardcore, and cams, which I will now describe in more detail.

The first two pages, videos and photos, do exactly what it says on the tin. It lists all the most recent updates. Once there, you can change the sort order from the default setting of recent to any one of 'top rated', 'popular', 'trending', or 'upcoming'. You also have the option of selecting a custom date range from which to display results for.

Big model directory

The models page is the directory of all of the babes on the website and can be easily navigated through either by scrolling down or choosing a letter of the alphabet that their names start with along the top. There is also a sub-menu that allows you to browse the models by the year they were added to the site and/or the specific month. They can also be sorted by 'recent' (default setting), 'top rated', 'A-Z', and 'upcoming'. If you have selected a letter of the alphabet from the menu, then naturally they are listed in alphabetical order rather than by the most recently added. Each model has a nice big preview picture so you can clearly see if they are someone of interest to you, or at least that is true for the most part. For some babes, the preview photo chosen really does not do them justice. The majority of the profile images are portrait photographs; with most if not all of their body, facing directly frontwards towards the camera. However, some are from weird angles like looking downwards from a low camera position or in some cases, a view of them from behind with them simply looking over their shoulders. You could easily miss someone who might take your fancy due to some questionable photo choices.

Use tags and categories to filter scenes

'Tags' is the go-to place to find the material you want to look at. There are 5 types of public tags; official video categories, official photoset categories, public video tags, public photo tags, and public photo tags. The ones with the prefix 'official' are the tags that Anilos themselves have set whereas all the 'public' ones are ones that users have come up with and tagged themselves. All these tag categories are sorted by popular (most tagged, to least tagged) but you can change the sort order to alphabetical in order to find what you are looking for more easily. This is what I have been doing anyway. You can also filter scenes by using your very own tags if you have created any. This can be done by clicking on any video or gallery and you'll see an option to add your own tag to it there.

There are too many different categories or tags to list here, but just to give you an idea of some of the ones which return the most results; these include 'Long Hair', 'Masturbation', 'High Heels' and 'Shaved Pussy'. The 'Milf' tag returns 2222 results and the 'Granny' tag returns 227. The Milf tag is largely useless as due to the very nature of the site, most babes on the site fall under this category, so you wouldn't exactly be narrowing things down... but this does at least give you an indication of how many MILFs there are in relation to GILFs. You have greater freedom when it comes to narrowing down your search in terms of age groups using the advanced search tool, as it allows you to set a minimum age and a maximum age. Having said that, for some inexplicable reason it only lets you go up to the age of 47 in searches. Models in their 60s exist on the site, which can be found using the aforementioned grannies tag, and yet you cannot go beyond 47 on the advanced search which seems bizarre. You can actually get around it by changing the age values in the URL address bar once you have submitted an age range search (if you know what I mean by that), but you shouldn't have to resort to such measures. I really don't know why it doesn't let you choose higher ages.

Weird age information

A further note about ages is that the age specified on each model's profile is their age when they first did an Anilos shoot rather than their current age. This does not provide an explanation as to why the age can only go up to 47 on the advanced search though because not all the 60+ models have been doing shoots for the website since it launched in 2008 so... I dunno. *shrugs shoulders*

According to the site, there are 92 models who did their first shoot when they were still in their 20s. I was surprised to see this given that the tagline of the site is 'mature women of interest'. This does however show that whilst younger models are heavily outnumbered by older ones on the site, they do exist. I must say, however, that having looked at some of the models in question, I would doubt the accuracy of this information. Some of them look much older, even in their very first appearances.

Deals for other websites

The feed tab lists all of the most recent comments by fellow members on the various different videos and image sets available. The default setting is to list recent interactions with videos but you can change it to either view 'models' (comments left on model's profiles) or 'photos' (comments left on image galleries only). This page is actually an extension of the options available in the drop-down user menu on the right-hand side of the top navigation as it also enables you to view which scenes you have liked or models you have favorited and stuff like that.

The deals page consists of banners and links to special money-off vouchers for various different porn sites. The ones that are given the most prominence are sites that are part of the Nubiles family such as NF Busty and Deep Lush, but there are also deals in there for other well-known sites like MYLF, Hard X, and All Over 30 who Anilos refer to as their "friends".

Hardcore scenes and live cams

Next on the navigation bar is 'upcoming' which previews what will be released within the next 2 weeks. As I write this, there are 8 upcoming scenes that are 'coming soon'. These all appear in the same thumbnail preview format as the rest of the videos and pictures on the site, with the difference being that you can't actually click on them because they aren't yet available!

The 'hardcore' page takes you straight to all the non-softcore content which makes up the bulk of the site. There are 262 hardcore videos at the time of writing, and you can jump to the image gallery equivalents of these scenes at the click of a button. The very same sort of options is available for these as is present elsewhere on the site.

The final link in the navigation bar is 'cams' which transports you to nubilefilmslive.com; which features cam girls of all ages including a lot of young ones, so it's not as if the webcam aspect is fully in-keeping with the primary age group of Anilos itself. It is also no different from looking at the site as a non-member of Anilos, as you still need to create a separate account to interact with any of the cam girls, not to mention that you would have to part with extra funds to "take things any further". In other words, the cams aren't a benefit of you being a member of Anilos -- it is merely placed there hoping that you will interact with it and part with further cash. As I say, if it is something of interest to you, then you don't even need to be a member of Anilos to sign up and use it.

20+ updates in 4k per month

4-5 new scenes/shoots get added to the site each week which works out to about 20 updates per month. Each update has a video as well as a photo shoot, even if it is a softcore shoot which most are. The video will typically be of the babe in question stripping off before masturbating.

Each video can be streamed directly from the website although the default streaming setting is an extremely low resolution by default, but you can change this in the settings. You can also activate something called "theater mode" when you are streaming a video. This blackens out the background of the site to bring the video into sharper focus. You know, like a cinema, or indeed a theatre, just as the name suggests. Underneath the video is an option to add it to a playlist of your own creation if you so wish. As far as the download options are concerned, you can download videos in 4K, 1080 HD, 720 HD, or the lower resolutions of 854x480, 640x360, and 480x270. At least this is true of the releases in the last few years. Obviously, the 4K and 1080 HD options haven't always been around. Even though 2008 seems like a lifetime ago now, the videos from that time are still available in 720 HD which isn't bad.

Zipped high resolution photo sets

Image galleries are not your typical image galleries in terms of how they can be viewed on the site. When you click on an image, it brings it up full-screen where you can then choose from a variety of options like resizing the image or setting up a slideshow so that the images are cycled through in 3-second intervals or customized timeframes of your own choosing. It also allows you to tag and like individual images. It is far more advanced than anything I have seen, even though it does confuse me somewhat. It looks like a good idea that could be refined slightly. I am someone who just likes to download the ZIP file and peruse the pictures that way anyway. They can be downloaded in one of three formats: large (3600x2400px), medium (2400x1600px) or small (1200x800px). Again, I am talking about the more recent releases when I say this, because older image galleries from years ago aren't available in such high quality. Scenes from the early days of the site in 2008 are only available in medium and small. This is more than adequate, however.

Each video or gallery can be given a rating out of 10 or simply a 'like', and you can also comment on it as well as see what other people have had to say about it. You can interact with the comments of others, too, by giving their remarks a thumbs up or a thumbs down.

Easy to download

It is also worth noting that each video and image gallery has a handy little download icon in the thumbnail preview which enables you to download anything you like the look of straight away, before you actually click on it which is the scenario in which I have been describing in the last three paragraphs. When you click on the icon, a menu of different formats appears for you to choose from. Oddly though, in the case of image sets, the 'large', 'medium' or 'small' resolution options you get for which ZIP file to download appear twice for some reason. I clicked on two different versions of the same thing just to make sure it was the same and sure enough it was, so I don't know why this happens or why they can't fix it. Six options crop up for videos, as they are all unique video formats, but surely that doesn't then mean they need to fill out 6 spaces for image galleries if only 3 are applicable. Anyway, let's move on...

Wide range of models

Whilst the website does offer a wide selection of different babes in terms of things like shape, size, and age -- there is a distinct lack of black models. 'Black' is one of the tags available for selection, but there are only 3 black models that I can find. These are Rio Malandro, Anjanette Astoria (who I'm not even sure can/should be classified as black) and a model simply named Robin. The said tag returns more results than these, but among them is Cherry Despina who most certainly isn't black and is therefore miscategorized. 'Indian' returns 5 results, all of which is the same model who is named Persia. There are 87 scenes that are tagged as Latina which includes one of my absolute favorites, Alexis. Content involving Asian models is also in short supply, as the Asian tag only has 20 matches overall.

Besides that though, the different types of models on the site are wide ranging, from tall to short and everything in between. There are 264 babes who are tagged as 'thick' (that's a reference to their body type, not a dig at their intelligence!) and having looked through them; they are what I'd describe as chubby rather than overweight. You won't get your full-on BBW's here. Karen Fisher is the biggest person in terms of size/weight that I could find.

Filter options could be more specific

The search box behaves as all good search boxes do, which is to provide results for both models if you are searching by name and for scenes if you are searching using those terms. I touched on the advanced search tool earlier and one of its limitations. You can choose from a number of different options and search specifically by videos, photos or models. The tool looks good on the face of it but when you drill into it, you realize it isn't as good as it could be. You can search by weight for example, but the only available values are 'any' and 'super skinny'. It's like they don't want to offend anybody by suggesting that they are of a certain weight. It is made even more pointless of a search metric by the fact that selecting 'super skinny' doesn't actually return any results! Even for some of the search parameters which do work, they are not entirely accurate. For example, boob size is split into what is a fairly broad spectrum of 'small', 'medium' and 'big'. Personally, I would like a more granular set of options because there are big tits and then there are BIG tits. Anyway, the point here is that even some of the babes who have been classified as having big tits, don't have big tits. They might be big compared to others on the site, but I can't agree with many of their determinations.

Same girls with different names

Whilst I am highlighting some negative aspects, and there really aren't many to speak about, I did also notice how a couple of models (at least) are duplicated on the site under different names. For example, Nancy Acty and Maya Konovalenko are the same person under separate names/profiles. The same goes for Cathy and Cathy Cream; another model who is on there twice. This one is even more obvious given that they sit next to each other alphabetically. I don't know why the guys who run the site can't merge the profiles in both instances. It is not a problem as such, just a bit of poor site housekeeping.
